I Went to CES and All I Got Was This Stupid Picture With Snooki

Just kidding, just kidding...this years Consumer Electronics Show seemed like a huge success for everyone involved.  A record 1.86 million square feet of exhibit space was on display. (http://www.cesweb.org/)  Obviously OLED TV's and internet content for our living rooms is all the rage, but I'd like to share 6 products from lesser known comapnies that struck me as innovative.

1)  http://www.snapithd.com/  They sell 360º HD live camera technolgy.  This means security cameras won't have to rotate anymore. Less moving parts and a better picture.

2)www.getcocoon.com  This is an app that encrypts your internet activity while you are using public wifi at your favorite hotel or coffee shop.  This might prove a useful security application for your internet browsing.

3)http://ardrone.parrot.com/parrot-ar-drone/usa/  I bet you have seen all those remote control helicopters at the Sharper Image or similar stores? This is the professional toy for grown ups.

4)www.ecoalkalines.com  Landfill safe batteries made with 0% cadmium, lead and mercury.

5)http://bitcoin.org/ Bitcoin has been around for about a decade, but it's still a baby. Basically, its a digital currency.  The guys at the booth gave me this analogy "email is to postal mail, as bitcoin is to current banking transactions".  On January 18th, 2012 one Bitcoin trades at USD $ 5.92.

6)http://spnkix.com/What are spnKiX? spnKiX are battery powered, motorized skates that strap right on to your shoes.  Currently being tested at Venice Beach. I saw enough non-handicapped people in Vegas renting motorized carts to get around....why not these?

Hey!

Thanks for finding us! I feel like we were the proverbial needle in the haystack of CES.

Be well,
Kris

Thanks for the write up! The SnapitHD 360 will also be used as a construction monitoring tool and for tourism promotion. We had a really great response to the technology and looks to be busy 2012!
