Helion™ LED Lighting

The brightest and  warmest LED I have ever seen! 2010 Lightfair Most Innovative Product of The Year. The pictured model has the following specifications: 80MM, 1200 lumens, 3000k, 50 degree throw.  The LED component is made in America, and you can purchase the lighting module, socket and power supply for less than $100.  These modules are replaceable like traditional light bulb/socket fixtures so you can upgrade or change your lighting color and throw angle.

Endlighten acrylic for infra red touch surfaces

These are photographs I took of Endlighten acrylic and regular clear acrylic.  They are both edge lit with 850nM infra red lights.  The camera I used to photograph this has the IR filter removed, otherwise you wouldn't be able to see the infra red light.  The first photograph is the 1/4" Endlighten clear acrylic.  The second photograph is the 1/4" clear acrylic.  Endlighten has extra reflectants and mirrored particles in the extrusion.  You can plainly see that the Endlighten reflects the light more evenly and brightly than the regular clear acrylic.  If you are making a IR multi touch surface, using Endlighten will result in a more sensitive touch surface.
